Description: Monte Rosso Vineyard, planted in the 1880s, is a wonder of viticultural history. Perched nearly 2,000 feet above the valley floor, this staggeringly beautiful vineyard was planted in an era without automation, pile-drivers and back-hoes – and limited means to break up and terrace the rock.
Monte Rosso’s 575 acres lie on the last high flank of the Mayacamas Range. The bright-red, iron-rich soils that give the vineyard its name impart a remarkable perfume to all varieties of grapes from this vineyard’s 125+ year old vines.
Join us on Saturday, June 8th for a tour of this renowned property followed by dinner alongside the vines, paired with a versatile portfolio of wines from Monte Rosso Vineyard produced over the last four decades.
Additional Information: Tickets include shuttle service between parking location in Glen Ellen and Monte Rosso Vineyard, an informational tour of Monte Rosso, and a delicious dinner paired with wines from the vineyard dating back decades.
Stay tuned for additional details to follow!
Registration: Please purchase tickets on the event webpage.
