MONDAY, APRIL 3, 2023. BY LODI WINEGRAPE COMMISSION.

For fifteen years, Lodi’s signature event – formerly “ZinFest – Wine, Food, & Fun at Lodi Lake” – has been one of the region’s largest and most successful events each year. At its core, the event is an iconic celebration of the Lodi winegrowing region, its wines, and its farming community.

Since 2005, this flagship event has attracted tens of thousands of wine tourists from more than twenty states and three countries, contributing millions of dollars to local businesses and service groups.

Unfortunately, the pandemic forced the cancellation of this beloved event in 2020 and 2021. This year, 2023, we are excited to announce its return. Scheduled for May 19 and 20 at Lodi Lake Park, the newly imagined Lodi Wine Experience will feature two days filled with premium Lodi wines, fresh, locally sourced food, and entertainment.

EVENT DETAILS

The weekend kicks off on Friday, May 19, at 6:00pm with the exclusive and much-loved Signature Dinner at the Lake. Guests can look forward to a farm-to-fork, multi-course dinner crafted by Sacramento’s Sierra Coast Catering alongside premium Lodi wines and live entertainment. In past years, this event has been highly attended by our own winegrowing community and we are expecting a similar turnout this year.

The event continues at the lake on Saturday, May 20, with the Grand Tasting from 12:00pm to 3:00pm. There, guests will be greeted by more than 40 wineries offering hundreds of Lodi-grown wines. Wine seminars guided by Lodi’s own Randy Caparoso – author of the Lodi Wine blog and “Lodi! The Definitive Guide and History of America’s Largest Winegrowing Region” – will take place at 12:00pm, 1:00pm, and 2:00pm.

In addition to wine tasting and seminars at Saturday’s Grand Tasting, guests can look forward to delicious fare from local food trucks and live music.

GROWER-INSPIRED ARTWORK

If you’ve found yourself thinking, “she looks familiar,” when viewing this year’s event artwork, you’d be on the right track! Inspired by our own winegrowing community, this year’s artwork features Kim Mettler-Eells of Lodi’s Mettler Family Vineyards.

In addition to our grower and winemaker profiles on LodiWine.com, the artwork for Lodi’s signature event will be another way for us to highlight individuals in our winegrowing community. In 2024, this could be you!
