UC DAVIS 2018 RAVE

UC DAVIS: 2018 RECENT ADVANCES IN VITICULTURE AND ENOLOGY (RAVE).

Date: Friday, November 30th, 2018

Venue: UC Davis Activities and Recreation Center, 760 Orchard Rd., Davis, CA 95616

Cost: $225 (includes lunch and all handouts, including PowerPoint slides)

Description: The program for 2018 includes topics such as: Improved analytical methods for SO2 by Dr Andrew Waterhouse; understanding drought and heat tolerance in grapevines by Dr Elizabeth Forrestel;  the current and future objectives of the grape breeding program by Dr Andy Walker; Dr Anita Oberholster will talk about the impact of some winemaking decisions on phenolic extraction; Dr Kaan Kurtural will discuss his research on rootstock differences in water uptake during drought; and there will be discussions on UCD V&E’s sustainability efforts, the impact of bottle aging on 12 different Pinot Noirs, and other topics, too, as well as flash talks and posters by some of our graduate students.
