Description: The Lodi Winegrape Commission and E. & J. Gallo have teamed up to offer growers a few exciting mechanization demos for 2022. The mini GUSS (gussag.com/mini-guss/) is a California-made 4WD autonomous air blast sprayer designed for vineyards by GUSS Automation in Kingsburg. A combination of GPS, LiDAR, sensors, and software guide the driverless mini GUSS safely and efficiently through vineyards. A single employee can monitor up to 8 mini GUSS sprayers at a time. It’s truly a spectacle to watch! Thanks to LWC Board Member Jason Eells of Mettler Family Vineyards and Arbor Vineyards for hosting this demonstration.
