Description: Join Principal Investigator Dr. Terry Bates of Cornell University for a demo as he puts into action the variable rate techniques and shoot thinning technology he and his team have developed. Custom equipment provided by VMech. Dr. Bates will compose a map of vineyard vigor (NDVI) and calibrate the map against manual shoot counts, and generate a predicted spatial shoot count map and use that data to complete a prescription map that the mechanized shoot thinner will follow automatically.
