Description: Come join us for a free workshop on Friday, April 5, 2019, in Lockeford, focused on northern SJC groundwater. Speaker topics highlight the Lower Mokelumne River watershed and its importance to recharging the groundwater sub-basin.
The Lower Mokelumne Watershed Stewardship group is a sub-committee of the San Joaquin County Resource Conservation District; comprised of landowners and stakeholders, who meet regularly to promote conservation in the watershed.
Learn about the 2014 SGMA legislation mandating groundwater management; then learn about water rights in the Lower Mokelumne watershed. Conservation practices to improve water infiltration, ground water quality and quantity, new mapping tools and more, will be presented. Finally, meet your neighbors and build strong stakeholder relationships.
