Description: Our group meets monthly to discuss current vineyard pests and their management. The goal is to create a strong local network for communicating the best IPM strategies and for support in solving viticultural anomalies. Trunk disease has historically been thought about most during pruning. This month, Dr. Akif Eskalen will use microscopes to show everyone how trunk disease pathogens can release their spores during harvest, which is why we want to minimize trunk wounds from machine harvesting for vineyard longevity.
