Description: Our group meets monthly to discuss current vineyard pests and their management. The goal is to create a strong local network for communicating the best IPM strategies and for support in solving viticultural anomalies. This month, we welcome Dr. Matt Johnson (a Lodi native) from Cal Poly Humboldt’s Department of Wildlife to teach us about some of our favorite pest management employees – our birds, bats, and owls in the vineyard. Learn via show and tell how he tracks owls and his recommendations for ideal barn owl boxes.
