MONDAY, JUNE 28, 2021.  BY LODI WINEGRAPE COMMISSION.

A few weeks ago, Research, Education, & Communication Committee Member Dr. Keith Striegler shared with us an old pile of Lodi Winegrape Commission newsletters. A lot has changed since then – our number of acres and wineries in Lodi, the broad acceptance of IPM as a standard way to farm, and both the amount of challenges and of opportunities in our industry. There is some comfort in knowing that much of our focus as farmers – as well as our curiosity and appetite for learning – has also remained consistent. Decades later, we’re still discovering new information about rootstocks, cover crops, beneficial insects, and weeds through grower-scientist research partnerships and area-wide cooperation…and will continue to do so.

Grab a cup of coffee and enjoy a bit of nostalgia as you read through the pages below!
