Step 2: Self-assessment
Second, complete the online Lodi Rules self-assessment. The on-line assessment system, in conjunction with the Lodi Rules For Sustainable Winegrowing Certification Standards, Third Edition binder, is used to document your farming practices. The self-assessment system will open on March 1st, 2017 and will close on May 2nd, 2017.
Step 3: Audit
Third, the auditor will contact you to schedule an audit. Audits take place between May 15th and August 1st, 2017. Auditor visits entail friendly and low-pressure inspection of all documentation and vineyards.
Step 4: PEAS
The final step in the certification process is annual submission of PEAS impact units per vineyard to the auditor. PEAS calculations are due September 1st, 2017 for Crush District #11 growers and in September 15th, 2017 for growers in other regions with later harvest dates.
