Description: If you read the last Grower Newsletter, you know that several market indicators suggest a rising demand for premium LODI winegrapes. Growing PREMIUM winegrapes is very different than growing commodity winegrapes in many ways – contracts are usually for higher prices per ton but are also harder to obtain, extra vineyard practices such as leaf pulling may be required, and it may take several buyers per farm to sell all of your grapes. Our interactive panel discussion on this topic will provide some insight to help you decide if premiumization is a wise strategy for you and your family, and will also give you tips on how to break into this market.
